Pricing & contracts
How much does a website actually cost?
You choose how to pay for the same site. Buy it outright from €495 for Launch, €1,495 for Growth or €2,995 for Premium — or spread it monthly from €59, €149 or €299 with hosting, updates and support included. We quote a fixed price before any work starts, so the figure you agree is the figure you are invoiced.
Should I pay once or monthly?
It comes down to cash flow and ownership. Paying once costs less overall and the website — source code and all — becomes yours outright at launch, to host wherever you like. Paying monthly gets you live for a fraction of the upfront cost with hosting, updates and support bundled in, but the source code stays with us and the site comes down if you cancel. Either way your domain is in your own name and your content stays yours. You can switch from monthly to a one-off purchase whenever you want.
Are there ongoing costs after launch?
On a monthly plan everything is included in the one figure — hosting, security, backups, updates and support. On a one-off build the only essentials are hosting and maintenance from €45 a month, plus your domain renewal at around €25 a year. There are no hidden licence fees either way, because we do not build on paid themes or plugins.
Do you require a long contract?
No. Care plans and SEO retainers are month to month, and you can cancel with 30 days notice. We would rather keep clients because the work is producing results than because they signed a twelve-month agreement.
Can I pay in instalments?
Standard terms are 50% to begin and 50% on launch. For larger projects we can spread payments across the project timeline. Just raise it on the discovery call and we will work something out.
Working together
How long does it take to launch?
A seven-page site typically takes one to two weeks from the day we have your content and photos. Larger sites with location and service pages run two to three weeks. The single biggest delay is usually waiting on photographs, so we start that conversation on day one.
What do you need from me?
A 30-minute call, access to your existing domain and hosting if you have them, and photos of your work. We write all the copy ourselves — you will never be handed a blank document and asked to fill it in. You then review two rounds of revisions before we build.
Can I update the website myself afterwards?
Yes. We hand over a simple editor for text, photos and prices, along with a recorded walkthrough for your own reference. If you would rather not touch it at all, monthly content changes are included in every care plan — send us a WhatsApp and we will make the change.
Do you work with businesses outside Cork?
We work with businesses in every county in Ireland. Most of our projects run entirely over video calls, WhatsApp and email, which keeps costs down for everyone. If you would prefer to meet in person and you are within reach of Cork, that is no problem at all.
SEO & Google
How long before SEO produces enquiries?
Local map pack improvements often show within four to eight weeks, because Google Business Profile work takes effect quickly. Competitive organic rankings typically take three to six months to move meaningfully, and nine to twelve months to mature. Anyone promising page one in 30 days is either targeting terms nobody searches for or is not being straight with you.
Is SEO better than running Google Ads?
They do different jobs. Ads buy you visibility today and stop the moment you stop paying. SEO builds an asset that keeps producing enquiries for years, but it takes months to build. Most of our clients run ads while SEO matures, then reduce ad spend as organic enquiries take over. We will tell you honestly which makes more sense for your situation.
Do I really need a Google Business Profile?
For a local business, it is the highest-return hour you will spend online. It is what puts you on Google Maps and in the three-result panel at the top of local searches — above every organic result. For many of our trades clients it generates more calls than the website itself. We set it up, verify it and keep it active.
Will you report on what the SEO work is actually doing?
Every month, in plain English. You get rankings for your target searches, how many people called or filled in a form, where those enquiries came from, and what we did that month. No 40-page PDF of charts nobody reads.
Technical
Do you use WordPress?
Usually not. We hand-build sites with modern static tooling, which makes them dramatically faster, effectively immune to the plugin vulnerabilities that plague WordPress, and far cheaper to host. If your business genuinely needs WordPress — for example, an existing shop or booking system — we will build it properly on WordPress and tell you why.
Who owns the website and the domain?
The domain is always yours — registered in your business name, with the login handed to you at launch. So are your content and photographs. The website itself depends on how you pay: buy it outright and the source code is yours at handover, to host anywhere you like. On a monthly plan the source code stays with us and you licence the site for as long as you subscribe. We say this plainly because we have taken on far too many clients who could not access their own domain after a previous developer registered it to themselves. That will never happen here.
What happens to my Google rankings if you rebuild my site?
They are protected. We map every existing page to its new equivalent and put permanent redirects in place before launch, so the authority you have built up carries across. In most rebuilds rankings improve within weeks, because the new site is considerably faster and better structured.
Is the website GDPR compliant?
Yes. Sites are hosted in the EU, forms use explicit consent, and we provide a privacy policy and a cookie banner that only loads tracking after consent. We keep analytics configured so you get the data you need without collecting more personal information than necessary.
