These terms apply to work carried out by WebCo Digital. They are written to be readable rather than defensive — if anything here is unclear, ask us before you sign off a quote.
Quotes and scope
Every project starts with a written scope and a fixed price. That price holds for 30 days from the date of the quote. If you later ask for work outside the agreed scope, we will quote for it separately before starting — you will never receive an invoice for work you did not approve.
If we underestimate the effort involved in delivering the agreed scope, that is our cost to absorb, not yours.
Payment
Every plan can be bought in one of two ways, and you choose which before we start.
- One-off. Paid 50% on acceptance of the quote and 50% on launch. Invoices are payable within 14 days.
- Monthly. Billed in advance on the first working day of each month, starting on the day the site goes live. Cancel any time with 30 days notice.
- We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is added. The price quoted is the price invoiced.
Your responsibilities
To hit the agreed timeline we need from you:
- Photographs of your work, or approval to arrange photography
- Access to any existing domain, hosting or analytics accounts
- Feedback on drafts within five working days
Timelines assume this. Where a project stalls awaiting materials for more than 60 days, we may invoice for work completed to date and reschedule the remainder.
Revisions
Every build includes two rounds of revisions at the design stage. Further rounds, or changes requested after design sign-off, are quoted separately at our standard rate.
Ownership
What you own depends on which of the two payment routes you choose. This is the only substantive difference between them, so please read it before deciding.
- On a one-off purchase, the finished website — including its source code and files — becomes yours once the final invoice is paid. It is handed over in writing at launch and you may host it wherever you wish.
- On a monthly plan, the source code remains our property and is not transferred to you. You hold a licence to use the website for as long as your subscription is active. If you cancel, the site is taken offline; we will not withhold your domain, content or photographs, and you may switch to a one-off purchase at any time.
- On either route, your domain is registered in your business name, and your content, photographs and business data remain yours throughout. Domain and account logins are documented and handed to you at launch.
- We retain ownership of our underlying tooling, component library and any generic code we reuse across projects, in all cases.
Hosting and care plans
Care plans and hosting run month to month with no minimum term. Either side may cancel with 30 days' written notice. On cancellation we will provide a full export of your site and assist with migration to another provider at no charge.
We target 99.9% uptime. Planned maintenance is carried out outside business hours wherever possible and notified in advance.
What we do not warrant
We cannot and do not guarantee specific search rankings, traffic volumes or enquiry numbers. Search engines change their algorithms without notice and competitors act independently. We guarantee the work we do — the research, the build quality, the technical foundations and the ongoing effort — not the outcome of a third party's ranking system.
Anyone who does guarantee a ranking is not being straight with you.
Liability
Our total liability in connection with any project is limited to the fees paid for that project. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost profits or lost business opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death, personal injury or fraud.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ireland and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
